Established in 1998, Cavit Projects offers a full interior design and procurement service for luxury resorts in New Zealand and the Pacific Basin. Our service includes the design, specification and procurement of all furniture, fabrics, lighting, artwork and accessories, and full interior project management. We specialise in four and five star resorts and luxury lodges.
We work closely with the owners and management of each resort to ensure we achieve the desired result for their particular market and budget. Environment, climate and housekeeping factors are taken into account to achieve each design solution.
Our aim is to create something special to ensure that your guests enjoy the ultimate holiday experience – to be able to relax in an environment that is comfortable, attractive and harmonious. We provide high quality, well-designed furniture and furnishings, a high level of comfort in beds and seating, well-appointed bathrooms, and superbly designed kitchens and room amenities. This attention to detail has resulted in an increase in return guest nights. It has also assisted with sales from word-of-mouth referrals.
Through our sister company, Cavit and Co, we have access to exclusive agencies for Australasia for some of the most prestigious global furnishing brands, including Frette, McGuire, Donghia, Triconfort, Kettal, Baker, Lambert, and Julie Prisca. Our close relationships with our manufacturers enable us to source the best quality products directly from their source, and to offer competitive prices to meet a project’s design and budget requirements. We also custom-design furniture and fittings if required because of budget, scale or availability considerations.
Much of our work has been with clients who have used us consistently over the years, testimony to our ability to perform to a high standard. Our resort projects have been located not only in New Zealand but also in diverse off shore locations such as as Kiribati, Vanuatu, New Delhi, Seville, and Fiji.
Cavit Projects operates independently as a specialist hospitality, design and procurement company within the Cavit and Company Group, while maintaining full access to the group’s resources. Cavit and Co Limited has a retail presence in Auckland and Sydney.
Debbie Cavit – Director
Debbie Cavit first became involved with design for large scale projects when she took on the fit out of the Commonwealth Games Village in Auckland in 1988, operating under the umbrella of Cavit and Co. The project saw Debbie and her team producing full specifications for all of the accommodation units – 350 individual houses. Since then she has been involved in the design or procurement for a raft of projects both locally and overseas, including the New Zealand High Commission in Delhi, in conjunction with architect Miles Warren, the New Zealand High Commission in Kiribati, inner city hotels and numerous resorts in Queenstown and Fiji.
To each project Debbie brings her own inimitable design style and flair, always aiming for the highest possible quality within the available budget. She works in close consultation with her clients to ensure that each resort has its own distinctive design style.
